If I wanted an option that also worked with consoles, I'd be looking into the Astro MixAmp (Dolby Headphone) or Turtle Beach TAC (DTS Headphone:X). If I did not already have a setup which works for me right now, I'd find the Sound Blaster X3 most appealing since it allows for both SBX surround, and custom HRTF creation with its SXFI option (using photographs of your ears). Personally, I wouldn't recommend buying a sound device for gaming which lacks a virtual surround option for headphones. ![]()
